Welcome to Philadelphia and IMS2018!  The Guest Committee has been working hard to make your visit to IMS2018 and Philadelphia a pleasant experience that you will remember for a long time.

Tours IMS2018
A free Wanamaker Organ personal tour (IMS only) to view, hear, and learn about the history of the famous Wanamaker organ (one of the largest in the world) at the Macy’s department store, given by a MTT local engineer/historian with an emphasis on signal processing (advanced registration preferred). There are two free tours on Tuesday, 12 June, 10:30-12:30 and Wednesday, 13 June 10:30-12:30. There is a entire historic mile of museums, historic sites, and attractions right around the Philadelphia Convention center, including The Liberty Bell Center, The National Constitution Center, Independence Hall, The new American Revolution Museum, and Historic City Hall.

A Philly tood tour that also encompasses a bit of Philly’s architecture and history is ‘Philly’s Food Tour’.  The tour stops at 5 eateries locals frequent for Philadelphia fare. It includes great sightseeing, history, and highlights of Philly architecture and includes enough food for lunch. $39/adult, $33/child ages 5-14 Daily.

The IMS2018 Monday night reception is at Reading Terminal Market. If you desire more behind the scenes information on the many food options at the market, a tour leaves from the Market information desk at 12th and Filbert streets in the heart of downtown Philadelphia at 10 a.m. every Wednesday by pre-paid reservation. To make your tour reservation call at 800-838-3006. Cost is $16.95 for adults and $9.95 for children ages 7 to 11, which includes several small food bites and the free “Philly Insider Eats Sheet.”
