Millimeter-Wave Injection-Locked CMOS Frequency Synthesizers

Focusing on mm-Wave injection-locked CMOS frequency synthesizers, this talk will review different types of injection-locked synthesizers and compare with traditional ones. Advanced design techniques to implement key building blocks, including mm-Wave VCOs with ultra-wide frequency tuning range and injection-locked frequency dividers (ILFD) and frequency multipliers (ILFMs) with enhanced frequency locking range, will be discussed. Finally, design and measurements of injection-locked frequency synthesizers with state-of-the-art performance will be presented as case studies.
