Demystifying the analysis of LPTV circuits using Adjoint Networks
N-path filters and other LPTV circuits are subjects of intense research in recent times. Such circuits are usually analyzed in the frequency domain, often leading to messy algebra. It turns out that the use of inter-reciprocal (also called adjoint) networks greatly simplifies the analysis, while also yielding valuable circuit intuition. One of the key aspects exploited in this analysis are the properties of sampled LPTV networks. This talk, in a tutorial fashion, will cover recent developments in this direction, and apply our techniques to the analysis of N-path filters/mixers and samplers.
