Multi-GHz frequency synthesis for radar applications

This talk will discuss frequency synthesis techniques that can tune over a wide continuous range of frequencies at RF and mmWave. Circuit architectures for both voltage controlled oscillators and phase locked loops will be explored. The talk will also describe circuit techniques to achieve mult-GHz ramp generation for FMCW applications. Measurement results from multiple IC implementations will be presented.
