Techniques and Technologies enabling affordable SatCom Antenna Systems

The demand for bandwidth through SatCom systems is growing fast, and will continue so for the forseeable future. System cost is under pressure, higher frequencies are targeted and the trend toward phased-array systems is evident. This talk will focus on hardware developments that enable all this. It will address the Silicon technology choices crucial to affordability and detail a specific implementation. It will describe an antenna demonstrator and discuss methods to increase the field of view.
