This paper describes the latest achievements of the on-going flat panel array development for airborne application. The terminal is split into RX and TX separated apertures allowing for independent and more efficient optimization of the overall performances. The terminal has been designed to be able to achieve good performances up to 70 degrees of scan. This was achieved thanks to a symbiotic design of the active component and of the radiating elements. Measurements of a reduced size demonstrator confirm the good capabilities of the proposed technology.
